Monica Tesler writes smart, speculative fiction for all ages. As a kid, she made up adventures in the Star Wars universe. Now, she dreams up her own fantastical places then writes about them. BOUNDERS, her five-book, middle grade, science fiction adventure series from Simon & Schuster, follows the first class of cadets at the EarthBound Academy for Quantum Space Travel.

Monica lives outside of Boston with her family. She wrote her first books on the commuter boat on the way to her job as an attorney. These days, she typically writes at her kitchen counter while her new puppy snoozes. She misses seeing young readers in-person, but her virtual school visits and events have been highlights of the past year.
